It will take place on November 19th, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30pm. in the MacLaurin building. Our worldwide education network is expanding, and as a result, we have schools preparing for the upcoming semesters and teaching jobs.
Who is organizing this event?
The UVic Education Students’ Association is organizing this event with the support of the Faculty of Education. This student group is dedicated to building community among education students, who are provided opportunities for professional development and social networking, in person.
In addition, UVic Education students are certified K-12 and include specialities such as French Immersion, Special Education, Physical Education, Educational Technology, Arts Education and generalists.

Another Reason To Be Interested In UVic Education
UVic Faculty of Education is known throughout the province as a producer of high-quality Education graduates. Their excellent four-year Bachelor of Education program is the reason. As well, you can take advantage of two post-degree intensive options and a number of specializations under the umbrella of Education. As a research-intensive faculty, students benefit from being exposed to the latest in teaching techniques and are encouraged in their own professional development. Students have a healthy balance of coursework and practical experience.
What is the format of the career fair?
Each district or organization will send representatives to the fair to manage a booth. Most of all employers want to showcase their job opportunities and connect directly with students who visit each booth.
What is SI Global’s involvement at the career fair?
So many new teachers have difficulty securing full-time teaching positions quickly. Therefore, SI Global will be assisting and educating students on teaching jobs around the globe.
Harness your desire to travel by teaching abroad.
Gain teaching experience in a different cultural context resulting in improved professional competence. Personal contact with recruits seems like a better way to show the personal touch SI Global is known for.
Since upcoming job needs are increasing through our global teaching network, we are actively recruiting new teachers at this fair. Especially relevant to recruits is that wages in our network vary from $2,000 – $5,000 per month with additional benefits also.
SI Global will assist each student through the registration process on the SI Global teacher website. We will do this to ensure that each individual will have the best chance at securing the position that is best suited for them. More information can be found here.
